Tell us a bit about you and your family:
I was born in Essex, England, and moved to Perth, WA in my mid-teens to join other family members.
I’m now married with a 16-year-old daughter, and we really enjoy the relaxed, laid-back lifestyle that Western Australia has to offer.
What led you to start your career in local government?
I began my career at the City of Kalamunda as a trainee in the early ’90s and gained experience across various areas of local government, including rates, planning, finance, procurement and health. I then moved into an IT role where I spent five years.
From there, I made the move to the vendor side and have enjoyed providing solutions to the local government sector. I’ve always worn a few different hats in roles spanning from programming, project management to account management and sales.
What do you enjoy about working in this sector?
I love that local government is focused on supporting their communities, and by helping our customers, we’re ultimately contributing to that goal as well. It’s also a highly collaborative sector with extensive networks. People genuinely work together and share their experiences to achieve great outcomes.
What inspired you to join Team Redman?
I was drawn to Redman because it has a genuine, close-knit, family business feel, and the solutions really stood out as class-leading. The team is also incredibly well-respected by its clients, which is something you don’t see every day. It felt like the ideal mix of innovative products and a very loyal, engaged customer base.

Favourite food or travel destination?
When it comes to food, I enjoy just about everything, but you can’t beat a good curry.
Austria is also a favourite travel destination, I love skiing.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
We enjoy hosting and spending time with friends and family over great food and drinks. Whether it’s a relaxed weekend BBQ or a dinner at home, it’s always something we look forward to and enjoy together.
