Originally from Victoria, Nicole Miller recently joined Team Redman after 14 years at Bundaberg Regional Council. As the newest member of our implementation team, she has gone from implementing Resolve internally to helping other councils achieve success. Let's get to know Nicole a little better.
Tell us a little about you, where you're from and your family:
I'm originally from Victoria but moved to Queensland for the warmer climate, where I met my husband, and together, we raised our four children in Bundaberg. Whilst balancing work and family, I completed my Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Transformation.
Recently, we relocated to Brisbane because my husband accepted a new role. We are embracing the new city lifestyle and are excited to create lasting memories in our new home.
You’re new to Redman, what’s your role and what made you join?
Before joining the Redman team, I worked at Bundaberg Regional Council for 14 years. During my tenure, I had the opportunity to attend a local government event, where I met some of the Redman team members. Their passion for what they do was evident.
Having successfully implemented Resolve for Bundaberg, I was impressed by its efficiency and time-saving capabilities. So, when the opportunity to join Redman arose, I knew it was the perfect fit for me.
Now, as a member of the implementation team, my days are spent assisting other councils in enhancing their processes, deploying Resolve and other solutions, and ensuring that our clients can maximise their productivity and achieve their goals. It’s rewarding to see the direct benefits and know that I am contributing to the success of councils across the region.
What do you love about your job?
I find immense satisfaction in helping our clients reclaim their time and significantly improve their operational efficiency. Local government organisations often face unique challenges, so finding ways to help them do more with less is particularly rewarding.
Having witnessed firsthand the transformative impact Resolve can have on optimising staff time, I enjoy working with our clients and helping them realise the same benefits and how streamlined meeting management can effortlessly enhance governance practices.
What’s your favourite food and /travel destination?
With my dad being Greek, I have always had a love of traditional Greek dishes, but on the other hand my mum is English, which means I also appreciate comfort foods such as bangers and mash and a good Yorkshire pudding.
When it comes to travel, nothing beats the beaches of Queensland for me, but camping with my family at Wreck Rock is a favourite because it is a place to disconnect, unwind, and recharge.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Spare time, what’s that? 🙂
My son plays in the FQPL (Football Queensland Premier League), so we travel to support him and enjoy watching his games. But we try to make a point of having family time on Sundays, as it’s nice to enjoy the time together and reconnect before the week's craziness starts again.
What’s something people might not know about you?
I actually love to sew, which has come in very handy with the kids, whether it's creating costumes for book week or making my daughter’s dance costumes.
